Jeremy Strong (born 18 November 1949) is an English writer credited with over 100 children's books.〔(【引用サイトリンク】 Jeremy Strong - The books )〕 ==Life and career==
His first three years were pretty uneventful but then he fell out of a first floor window and landed on his head, broke his right arm and spent a week in hospital. That was his first real memory. After an eventful childhood, mostly involving accidents of one sort or another and gathering a collection of stitches from hospitals en route, 〔(【引用サイトリンク】 Jeremy Strong - Who is Jeremy Strong? )〕 Strong left school in 1968 and studied English at York University. He held various vacation jobs, including at a bakery where he put the jam in doughnuts, an experience that put him off eating doughnuts for the next thirty years. After university he became a junior school teacher〔(Interview with Strong )〕 and also began his writing career. He left teaching in 1991 and has been writing full-time ever since. His humourous writing often makes use of his childhood and primary teaching experiences. He speaks at schools and festivals worldwide. His story ''There's A Viking In My Bed'' was made into a BBC children's TV series. A number of his books have won awards.〔(【引用サイトリンク】 Jeremy Strong - Any awards? ) 〕 He lives near Bath, UK.
